It's sad to flop so hard with 50 album versions

Sd is aiming at #40 iirc
-
The physical album is more expensive for BP but they make it with streama even those wack ass rfl is there
If u want that people gotta listen to your music, not just buy the album then throw it around to collect dust

Nope, charts essentials, talk of charts and winston all have it inside the top 30/25 for their final predictions.

Same amount as twice, yet only one managed to debut 2 songs in the hot 100 and get over 10m of streaming

NOT it being outside of the Top10

Album may have been sold for 3.99 but still, people said NO and didn't buy...

i was wondering the same and apparently they mean ktown4u which Western fans don’t usually order from (bc they understand it’s obsolete for any official charts). but even accounting for whatever percentage of fans from any fandom would order from this site (a minority), it doesn’t change the bigger chart story. if BP was going to sell 150k+, they would have. this is where they’re at.

BP isn't that far behind BTS anymore in the US when it comes to streams. Most of BTS' advantage comes from mass fandom buying.

now compare their studio album streams instead of an anthology with tons of old songs that aren’t going to stream as high as new songs — in this regard they still can’t compete with 2018 Tear. and again, BP actually decreased in US Spotify streams.
-
the VMAs being their first ever. let us know when they’re attending the Big 3, let alone being nominated for or winning anything. that’s BTS and BTS alone.
but back to girl groups. once again you’re missing the point that this group that you see is almost as big as BTS at the end of the day is much closer in comparison to Twice USA-wise — same sales essentially, same concert venues, both popular girl groups within a niche without a hit anyone in the US could identify. the difference is Twice has received almost no real US push or playlisting, so imagine when they do? and i’m not even a Once. i’m just seeing the difference between untapped potential and fading hype.

Tbh it just feels like they pretty much peaked or at the latest years reached some plateau. Their numbers this cb although obviously good since they are BP at the same time not that much better and with no big gap comparing to previous one (except for physical albums sales) plus for spotify we should consider that their previous cb wasn't as pushed as this one so it can be even a situation where without the massive deals numbers would be pretty much on par. Youtube also doesn't have basically any gap in comparison to previous cb, right? And in US they were a niche just like every other kpop act (aside from BTS), their only difference with other kpop groups was very beautiful MVs and that they do "badass hip-hop" which is favored in the west so can attract casual listeners.
Btw, hope now blinks understand why YG didn't book any stadiums for the group and went for arenas used by other kpop groups, company just knows the demand better than fans no matter how loud fans are)

To the person mentioning streaming units...
2 things
THE ALBUM got more than Born Pink for BP themselves and that's with the same number of songs
2nd. bringing up BTS's... they did almost 50M streams in 2020 with 7 songs for BE where the title track got sh*t playlisting. but sure try to compare when even Tear has more debut streams than any other kpop album
-
and yet both are playing the same venues
And twice did sell out their venue and had to do more shows. BP still has a shit load of tickets available

You're reaching for 2018? Army fans getting real desperate here. What matters is the here and now. BTS has fallen to 52M and BP has hit 37M in a 2022 battle. BTS big leads are due to mass fandom buying.
-
... Proof only had 4 new songs on it (amount of NEW songs matter as new songs will always get more streams than older songs)... y'all forget BE did almost 50M with 7 songs...and y'all think a NEW album wouldn't do more... y'all can keep thinking what you want when BP literally decreased in streams despite a 2 year hiatus and a spotify deal
-
And twice did sell out their venue and had to do more shows. BP still has a shit load of tickets available
Actually BP did sold out, the resellers buys the tickets, which is exactly the type of sold out that Twice did.
-
the fact there are other groups that their overseas sales are included on billboard
-
Coming for 2018 BTS you mean?
