MHJ said ADOR is totally independent from HYBE except the finance, are you surprised?

  • But if Bang PD wakes up tomorrow and decides he wants New Jeans to actually look or sound like this they can force whatever decisions they want.

I mean, yeah??? This is true for any company, do you think any of them have actual independence over the ones who own it?

She said people can actually let her have decisions instead of being some sort of creative machine subjected to constant company board approval or just having to follow orders left and right. But obviously in the grand scheme of things if a superior don't like what is going on they will interfere and it goes down to the company culture if they're going to allow it or not.

I feel like some of you have not worked a day in life.

  • Soumu is a female counterpart of bighit because they've their staff working on Lesserafim's music I'm guessing bang pd wanted it for new jeans but min heejin didn't like his ideas so they moved new jeans to her own company, that she was always supposed to have. But it's not right to say ador has nothing to do with Hybe, when the girls are getting fashion gigs, playlisting and promo all through bighit. Hybe owns ador 100%. The only decision makers.

Whatever the intention HYBE may have had for Soumu, Soumu was still an outside company that HYBE bought to add as a subsidiary of which they own at roughly 80%. Ador, on the other hand, was a subsidiary created by HYBE, of which they own all of it. Arguably Soumu is much more independent than Ador even though at the end of the day HYBE still calls all the shots.

What are you ranting about? We're talking about her tone, here. It's obvious what she meant, the problem was how she said it.

she's claiming she's allowed full creative control over her group and so far it's true. sure legally hybe can step in and call final shots but her arrangement is that she gets control of new jeans - so what's the problem? she's basically saying she wants credit for new jeans debut success cos she's the one who decided on all the music and promo style, and I don't think that's wrong. I'm assuming you haven't entered the workforce yet or else you'll understand why it's annoying when corporate offices who aren't even involved in day to day operations are given credit for subsidiary successes.

  • when you are financially dependent...you are not independent at all

  • I’ve liked the comments that I agree with. I do think some of the commenters are idealistic and haven’t really worked in a corporation before. Or some understand but just want to push some kind of narratives that those don’t understand just blindly follow. Who knows. It’s kpop after all lol.

  • another example of k-poppies not understanding how business actually works

  • Why are Kpop fans so naive? MHJ can say whatever she wants, in reality, if BangPD says no, that's it. Subsidiaries do not have power over parent companies.
