Even Edam Entertainment begins to release multiple versions of albums

  • In KPop, albums are rarely played since most people listen to digitals.

So albums are like fandom goods.

However a certain singer's album is played more often than other singers' albums.

Still, Edam Entertainment decided to release two versions of its chief singer's album.

Since the effective owner of Edam Entertainment makes the final decision, she is the one deciding to release two albums, something which was never done before in the singer's career.

Many people are kinda disappointed that the effective owner of Edam Entertainment made this decision to gouge their fans, because Edam's chief singer was well known for releasing only one kind of album when everyone else was doing multiple albums.

It seems the effective owner of Edam Entertainment began to get a little greedier than before, and wants to join the endless of Kpop acts gouging their fans.

The chief singer of Edam Entertainment did not do that when she was under Loen, Fave or KakaoM, but it seems the effective owner of Edam Entertainment is quite profit conscious now.

  • she's still under Kakao tho...

    KakaoM owns 40% of Edam

30% is owned by IU's former manager (read: a proxy)

It is not disclosed who owns the other 30% but chances are they are Iu's proxies (not uncommon in Asian companies where the real ownership is hidden in a myriad of ways)

so she effecively owns 60% of Edam and KakaoM owns 40%
