Honestly speaking, I think 4th gen for bgs is already over. I can't see any recently debuted groups overtaking the current top groups like skz, txt, enhypen, ateez, the boyz or treasure. That's probably why this year for bg debuts has been so bland. I feel like the next big4 bg debuts will be seen as 5th gen, it's just a feeling.
