I wasn't a blink or knew about kpop by that time, but I do remember some vaguing attacks on how AIIYL was a rejected 2ne1 song and over the past years I have definitely seen how kpop community token liken it to hate on BP and always the biggest argument is that it is a different type of song or cute concept

It seems BP have been on a downward spiral since 2017 💀
AIIYL is my favorite BP title, so I was surprised to hear this.
And yes, at first I didn't like HYLT because its structure was so similar to DDDD and KTL but it ended up high in my fav BP song list.
For me only, DDDD is a bit boring.
Same thing with DDDD everyone was hating on it everyone was saying it's bp's worst comeback and now days every threads is mentioning it as this master piece from Black pink and that they will never release a songs like that and whenever I read this I'm like 
whaaaat wasn't thus song bp worst song ? People love to downplay Bp music by using old releases to shit on the new song saying how Teddy lost his touch and BP is going downhill lmao well you guys can keep on wishing for that cuz bp is going nowhere

whichever the newest song will get hated the most and is the worst song
Then when next one comes, they will say the last one was much better / best in their discography. Then 2 years later, this song apparently is the best they ever had while the latest is worst
Blinks, just accept and move on.
Lol. That is my favourite BP song and their best in my opinion.
