Imagine paying tons of shipping fees for photocards, literally SHIPPING FEES FOR PAPER
Urgh it's more worth it to ship myself over to SK or something

Worth it when you can brag about your fav 15 year old model's succes on forum.allkpop.com

kpopies will do it don't worry
To me, shipping cost twice more than the album itself. Sometimes I wonder if this makes any sense. I would rather donate that money directly to my faves bank account than buy the album.
I'm wish shipping wasn't so bad. I'd buy double the albums and support double the amount of groups if shipping did not cost the same or more than the album I buy.
Worse, pricing of shipping goes up with each album I buy when I know damn well they'll fit in the same box and weights about the same...

why not do both? be like me.
At least lightsticks are useful
Poor Stay/Once/Midzy collectors are gonna have a lotta trouble finding everything
Yes.
The photobooks and photocards are why I buy albums. I like to have them physically there to look at and flip through. The feel of the pages is something special to me. And I like to trade photocards with other fans.
I've never actually used any of the CDs from any of them.

No photobook though, only photocards
You will be paying shipping for 2 - 3 pieces of paper, wrapped in paper, wrapped in plastic film

We'll see if that's what happens.
I don't see them getting rid of photobooks entirely. The press release I saw said they were getting rid of lyric books, which aren't photobooks.
Though I would still buy albums just for the photocards. I like collecting them and trading them. I would just be less excited without the photobook.
I don't get photocards, but then I didn't get baseball cards either. I mean at least you can play a game with Pokemon cards.

The latest news for JYP says it's going to be only photocards, everything else is digital

I'd still buy it.
But we'll have to wait to see how things are implemented fully.
The other part of why I buy albums to make my collection on the shelf look good. So I'll also need to see what the packaging is like.
I can't imagine it would just be an envelope with some photocards in it.
I mean at least you can play a game with Pokemon cards.
interesting....
Imagine a kpop trading card game where kpop idols battle each other....
And you can only get the cards through album purchases

I summon my Ryujin card with 200HP she is a normal fighting type. Her signature move is a 120 BP move called Shoulder Dance

It....is already happening
I've seen those before...
there's people that make them for most of the top kpop groups - although I don't think they sell it it's more of an individual hobby
