Its patently absurd. Gens start and finish at the same time for both genders. So pick your category, but it applies to all groups in the same year.

not really, reread my example AOA isn't a 3rd gen group and no one consider it like it, yet they debuted in the same year as EXO

It doesnt matter.

They feel like 3rd because they debuted in 2018 and are 1 of the earliest 4th gen girl groups and the earliest top ten 4th gen girl group.
