Nihilism isn't self hatred, it's the belief that there is no objective truth or meaning in the world. It's basically the ultimate form of "to each their own" and "nothing really matters in the end".
And narcissism isn't an extreme form of self love, but rather self love and self absorption in general, which traditionally were seen as the same thing (including in Korea).
So the concepts here are essentially "nothing matters" and "nothing matters but me"
