Not really. 2016 had Fire and BST, their first dasaeng win, the first big break of proper performances from MAMA and MMA (compared to the atrocious 2015 disrespect) and not to mention the HIGHEST entry at the time for BB 200 that took almost 4 years to break.

true but BTS had more impact in 2018 and 2019. 2016 was a big year for BTS but internationally and domestically 2018-2020 takes the cake. BTS had less than 1M followers on every platform in 2016. But look at now! I'm pretty sure most of them were just answering the year they found out about BTS, not the year they actually became an ARMY.

Oh, I'm not saying those years weren't bigger than 2016,(in fact they were but digitally and physically) but at the same time, an argument could be made that the first big growth of ARMY within the kpop niche was 2016. And after 2017, the gigantic growth of ARMY outside of kpop niche, overshadow the exponential year that 2018 and 2019 were. I expect to see 2020>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>over all years tho.

How will this list play out now?
If you're asking about growth, by that I mean from where they were at the start of that year to where they were by the end of it, I think 2017 still takes the cake for me. Then 2020.
I would like to mention 2015 as well because it was rumoured that 'Dark and Wild' could have been their last album and by the end of 2015, they were one of the established act. So yeah those 3 I feel.
