In your opinion, what was the best year of K-pop? Why? Not just specifically with your favorites or one or two groups, but for the genre as a whole.
I think 2018. 
Reasons:
- BLACKPINK had the perfect balance with everything. They got their global breakout hit with "DDU-DU DDU-DU." I feel like people always forget how big that song was when it came out.
- BTS. Self-explanatory.
- Most top groups had an amazing bop of some sort this year.
- Soloists like Chungha and Sunmi were BOOMING.
- (G)I-DLE debuted. "LATATA" was instantly a hit.
- K-pop as a whole had the perfect harmony and balance between East and West.
- LOONA debuted as a group.
- iKON had arguably their biggest hit.
