Its weird that you are thinking like this. This is them actually making an effort for their fan. You might not want it, but there's millions fans that want to have that. As you said, they don't have to do it, but they did it because after all, they are idols and fans are asking for this. Also, some people are angry that they only release 3 new song but do you know how hard it is to make good songs. Do you really think they can make new songs with their busy schedule? Really?

They gain a lot of new fans so its logic to me that they are releasing a lot of their old song in this album.

Btw, I'm not even a fan but its sad that their own fans doesn't trust their decision making. Don't say they just follow what company said because it make BTS look stupid. They are not a rookie. If SM artist can get freedom to do what they like in their comeback, I doubt BTS can't. They are famous for their artistic freedom right?

Looking at this thread, I refused to believe these user are the same user thst posted in the main thread. Must be different user. The only fandom that I didn't like in allkpop forum is army because they are shooter but even then, they still more likable than the one in this thread

Nobody asked for this. You said you are not a fan so you don't know. Even the Hybe shooters were anticipating a new era and a new album before this announcement but they will always try to find a deep meaning to excuse any had decision.

The old songs are right there. It's 2022, it takes 5 seconds for anyone interested to check their older albums on Spotify. And most of those songs are recent which makes it even easier to find.

Why are we all pretending this is hard in the digital era?

Anyway, a fan is a person with critical thinking at the same time and they can question bad decisions.
