II. Career
I. 2014-2017: AKB48
On April 3rd, 2014, Riona joined AKB48's Team 8. On July 2nd, 2017, she graduated after 3 Years and 3 Months of activity. During her time as an AKB48, she participated in two AKB48 albums and in six side tracks. She was selected twice to perform at the Philippines-Japan Friendship Celebration in Manila, Philippines.
II. 2018: Solo debut
The release of her first EP, titled "Never Give Up!!" on August 29th, 2018 marked her debut as a solo artist.
III. 2021-present: Posh Girls
On July 1, 2021, No.1 Media announced that they would be debuting a Korean-Japanese girl group called PoshGirls in mid-August, with four Japanese members and four Korean members.
Not too long after, it was revealed that Riona was amongst the four Japanese members, being revealed as the fifth member of the group. The group official debuted with with the mini album ''S.O.G Songs of Goddess' 'on August 18.2021.
