On July 2, 2020 Daseul uploaded a photo to her Instagram with the caption "Coming soon", she also tagged a fellow member Eunbi in the post (the photo has since been deleted).
The upload was later liked by MAKA MAKA's Instagram page, making fans speculate that she joined the group, later on she was officially confirmed to be a member.
They debuted on August 4, 2020 with their first single ''Burning Power''.
