II. Background
TWICE announced the release of the album back on October 8, 2021. Stating it would come out sometime in November. A timetable and track list was revealed on October 29. From November 1 to 10, they revealed different kinds of concept photos, an album preview, other music teasers, and an MV teaser. The MV for the title track Scientist was dropped on November 11 alongside the full album on various music streaming platforms.

Formula of Love : O+T=<3 surpassed over 700,000 pre-orders. Making it TWICE's most pre-ordered album to date. After release, the MV trended #1 on YouTube in United Arab Emirates, Phillippines, Qatar, Singapore, Tunisia, and Taiwan. SCIENTIST also peaked at #1 on Bugs after release.
