    I. Introduction


    Lalary (랄라리), also stylized as LALARY, is an eight-member co-ed project group. They debuted independently in August 29, 2019 with the single "Lalary".


    The group's name is a play on the Korean word nalrari (날라리), meaning "youth who play but do it well". They don't take life as a cycle, but treat it as their runway.


    II. Career


    Pre-debut


    On November 3, 2018, Eddie joined the survival reality show Under Nineteen. He was eliminated in Episode 6 with his final rank being 45th place.


    Lalary was first revealed on March 3, 2019 through Eddie's Instagram account with a post that contained a link to the official Instagram account of the group.


    On March 5, the group account began revealing photos of the members beginning with Susie, followed then by Eddie himself and then Hope, Sabrina, Jinny and finally Canaco.


    On March 16, a Kickstarter project was announced to fund the debut of the co-ed group. The Kickstarter reveals that it is an 'all or nothing' project meaning if the funding goal is not met, the debut will be cancelled. The Kickstarter was opened on March 29 with a goal of $6,500 to debut.


    On April 2, the first teaser image featuring Canaco was revealed.The next day, trough Eddie's YouTube channel, a teaser prologue video titled "Let's Play" was released along with a teaser image of Eddie.


    In June, Lalary's debut kickstarter reached their goal within the time limit and even had excess donations. Lalary thanked their fans for their support and confirmed that in the coming months they will all travel to Korea to prepare for their debut around July or August 2019.


    On July 26, Lalary introduced the seventh member, Soorim to the group line up.


    2019: Debut with digital single "Lalary" and new member


    On August 8, Lalary revealed their first group teaser image and their debut schedule, with their official release for their debut digital single "Lalary" on August 29.


    Between August 9 and August 19, individual teaser images for each member were revealed along with an music video teaser released in between on August 16.


    On November 4, 2019, it was announced on Instagram that Stephny would be joining Lalary as the final member.


    2021: "Fireball"


    On June 29, Lalary released their second single "Fireball". Despite being labeled as a group release, only Eddie, Canaco, and Hope participated in the single due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The trio is currently promoted as a subunit called BABY LALARY.
