Jang Jin Young

    Jang Jin Young (장진영) is a Korean pop singer, vocal trainer, and businessman. He is a former member of the disbanded group Black Beat and the disbanded duo by Jing Sung. He is also a member of the project groups The Black and Question with other former members of disbanded SM Entertainment groups.

    III. 1998 - 2011 : Black Beat and other SM Entertainment Activities


    Jang Jin-young made his debut as the lead singer of the boy group Black Beat which was formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2002. The five-member group released their first album Volume 1 – Black Beat #2002 but has been inactive since 2006. He also became a member of the duo 'by JINSUNG' and the R&B group "The Black" before debuting in 2011 as a solo artist with the release of the single "시간이 흐른 뒤 (Another Time)" and mini album Vocalist.


    IIII. 2013 - Present: CEO and Vocal Coach

    In 2013, he also appeared as a judge for SM in K-Pop Star along with member Shim Jae-won . In 2017, while appearing as a vocal trainer on Unnie's Slam Dunk season 2, he attracted fan attention for his visual.


    And thanks to the popularity of Unnie's Slam Dunk, in July 2017, he participated in Idol School as a teacher along with other former SM Entertainment artists; Bada of S.E.S., Stephanie of the Grace, and Current SM artist, Kim Hee-chul of Super Junior, with Jin-young serving as a vocal training teacher. It was noted during the show that Bada, had a positive senior-junior relationship with him during her time in SM and The Grace's Stephanie had a romantic relationship with Jang Jin-young when she was just starting vocal training during her trainee days.


    Currently, he is CEO of Atop Company, a company specializing in vocal training. Many active idols have undergone vocal training at this company.
