Yoo Soo-jin

  • I. Introduction


    Yoo Soojin is a retired singer and songwriter who was signed to SM Entertainment from 1999 - 2008. Soo Jin was chosen from the "1st SM Entertainment Best Youth Contest", she was one of 3 artists to join the label as a result of the contest. The other two signees were Changbin and U-Know of TVXQ!. She would be an member of independent R&B group The Black, along with former Black Beat members Lee So Min and Jang Jin Young, until 2014.


    II. Career


    After training for 2 years under SM Entertainment Soojin would be transferred to it's subsidary Cid.K Entertainment, as she was not selected for the group M.I.L.K. so she was moved over to debut in Shinvi.


    They debuted in April 2002 with their first and only studio album 15 to 30. The group would be announced to have been disbanded in 2004 after fans suspected that they were disbanded since the end of 2003. She however remained with SM Entertainment until 2008 and would do work as a background singer during that time for multiple artists throughout the years.
